Living in Southwest Louisiana, the Arenos have been influenced by different styles of music, ranging from Cajun, country, bluegrass, Southern gospel, etc… Traveling and singing for the last 10 years has been very rewarding for the group as they have seen many lives touched with the Gospel.
Nathan, Penny, Jonathan and Glenn are the current members of the group. The present members are all married with children. The support of family and friends through prayer and sacrifice is what keeps the Arenos’ ministry spreading the gospel through song.
In 1999, the Arenos began sharing God’s love through song. During the past 10 years, the group has seen many lives changed as a result of this effort. The style of music the Arenos play ranges from traditional bluegrass to progressive country with a positive message. It is the group’s desire as a band to lead people to Jesus Christ and see lives changed. All of the Arenos music is performed live. Penny Wade sings lead and harmony vocals and plays the piano. Jonathan Areno sings lead and harmony vocals, plays the mandolin, banjo and auto harp. Nathan Areno sings lead and harmony vocals, plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and writes many of the Arenos’ songs. Glenn Baggett plays the bass guitar and sings harmony vocals.
The Arenos have been blessed to have the opportunity to share the stage with many great artists such as: The Crabb Family, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Mike and Kelly Bowling, Jerry and Tammy Sullivan, Mark Lanier, Gerald Crabb and many others. The Arenos would like to thank their families and Pastor Jeff Ralston for his support of their ministry.
