The Chicago based gospel quartet known as Overseer Belton & God’s Company is on a mission to deliver ministry from the heart in everything they do. The group fronted by Rev. Moses Belton Sr. demonstrates their passion for music & ministry on their debut release, titled The Blood. “I want to display the power of testimony through our music that is relatable to the people,” says Belton. Overseer Belton & God’s Company departs from traditional gospel to bring inspirational messages of hope in a unique way. Bryant Anderson, a notable vocal coach known in the music business serves as the group’s vocal arranger and Kevin Lawrence is the musical arranger for the group. The Blood features a soulful collection of songs with real and positive messages including the first single “It Doesn’t Matter”. The songs addresses issues experienced personally by Belton and delivers the message that with God in your life nothing else matters. Another stand out song is the title track “The Blood” a radio friendly record that talks about the power of healing in blood which is the life-line to all of man kind.
The group originally formed in 2007 when they were known as the Royal Light Juniors, but as time progressed and members changed, the group became known as Overseer Belton and God’s Company. Despite being a new group, collectively the members have more than 25 years experience in the gospel industry. The group’s lead member, Rev. Moses Belton is an accomplished songwriter and entrepreneur in his own right. He obtained a publishing deal as a songwriter with Atlanta based DH publishing where he successfully placed songs he submitted with well known gospel artists who have recorded them. In addition to being a successful songwriter, Belton is the President of Quartet City Records, an independent gospel label based in the Chicago area. Belton also serves as an Overseer in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Christ International, Inc., providing pastoral oversight to churches in the state of Illinois. Overseer Belton and God’s Company is currently marketing their debut release, The Blood through online distribution and in retail stores. The group hopes to make a major impact by establishing a foundation of a promising musical legacy that transcends in to ministry that encourages the heart and changes people’s lives.
