Dirk & Cheryl Zwiebel have a broad ministry and performance history having been members of The Watchmen Quartet and The Singing Bragg Family prior to beginning their own ministry. Although Dirk and Cheryl had been ministering together while The Watchmen Quartet was still traveling ... they also ministered with The Watchmen ... singing at a number of concerts to introduce their ministry. Dirk did double duty while singing with Dennis and The Watchmen until finally accepting the "passing of the torch" when the quartet retired in 2008.
Dirk began to perform as a vocalist while attending Westmont College. He was lead singer for a quartet plus a contemporary group that ministered to high schoolers. His love of God and heart for children lead him to working on youth staff and directing youth choir. His broad performance resume includes: lead actor in a national touring stage show and improvisational comedy troupe, touring internationally playing trombone and a stint singing back-up for Barry Manilow. Then, joining The Watchmen Quartet where he sang tenor, ran sound and drove the bus for 13 years.
Cheryl's life was destined to be one of song. Dear Hawaiian friends of her parents discovered that her mother was pregnant and asked if they could name the unborn child. They came up with an island love song: "Cheryl Moana Marie".
At the age of only four, Cheryl's heart felt the call of the Lord in Sunday school. She was born again by singing, "Come Into My Heart Lord Jesus"
At age eight she sang on her first record; a children's project with folk star Barry McGuire. Her full time ministry began when she was thirteen. You may remember her as "Miss Banjo" with The Singing Bragg Family. She has ministered throughout the Western U.S., Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
During their years in ministry, Dirk and/or Cheryl have sung along side the likes of James Blackwood, JD Sumner & The Stamps, Florida Boys, Kingsmen, Palmetto State, McKameys, Hoppers and Legacy 5..
Dirk and Cheryl promote a fun family atmosphere while sharing the life changing Good News of the Gospel..
