 BJ Vavasseur formerly of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries  is a Gospel singer, Minister of the Word, and up and coming Christian author. BJ and her three children live outside of the Baton Rouge, LA area. BJ travels extensively singing and sharing her testimony around the world.

 Many people today are facing discouragement, depression, and hopelessness stemming from horrific situations they have experiences in their lives.

 “Things that I’ve endured growing up have caused me to question whether God loved me. I had heard that He did, as a child, and I even sang the songs but yet  how could God allow bad things to happen if he loved me.”

                             BJ Vavasseur

BJ Vavasseur, a Worshipper, is a Music Minister originally from Pittsburgh, PA, currently residing in the Baton Rouge area with her three children. BJ has been singing gospel music since she was five years old. Coming from a musical family, it was no surprise when BJ felt the call of God to work within the gospel music industry. 

 In 1988, BJ joined Jimmy Swaggart and The Family Worship Center where she ministered for over twenty years as a Soloist, Worship Leader, and Background Vocalist and was featured on the weekly TV Program. 

 In June 2012, BJ sensed God was leading her down a new path of ministry.

She began accepting invitations to share her moving testimony and sing the praises of Jesus Christ. She traveled with the Marty Martinez Ministries extensively and frequently ministers with Nancy Harmon Ministries, singing to thousands. 

 Ministry has taken her to various parts of the world including The Netherlands, Canada, and across the United States from California to New York. She also have been featured on various TV  & Radio Programs including, The Breakfast Show (Bob Gass), Sonlife Broadcasting Network (Jimmy Swaggart), Channel 40 (PA), Jesus Connection (ATL), and Carl Brown Ministries (LA).

 BJ has ministered on stage with some of today’s well-known Christian artist like Janet Pascal, Laverne & Edith Trip, Mary Sloan, Roni Goss, Archie Dennis, and Candi Staton Suswell. One of BJ’s favorite ministry opportunities was this past January, when BJ was invited to minister at the well-known Brooklyn Tabernacle. She was afforded the opportunity to sing, “I Never Lost My Praise,” along with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.  

BJ Vavasseur has released 8 CD’s including her most recent CD, “Hold On Believe” an album geared toward bringing hope in the midst of troubled times. The CD is a companion to her newly released book, “Hold On & Believe” which is currently being translated into Spanish.

BJ ministers wherever doors are opened including Churches, Crusades, Conferences, Prisons, Women Shelters as well as on Radio and Television. She is presently traveling the world sharing her powerful testimony that has reached countless men and women of all ages. Her heart’s desire is to minister to those who are hurting, confused discouraged and abused to bring them to a place of accepting God’s BEST- healing and freedom from sin.
